award_2014Dr. Michael Bohrnsen DC, DACBSP received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Oregon State University in 2005. He went onto graduate school at Southern California University of Health Sciences where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic with a focus in Sports Medicine.

Having grown up in Spokane, Washington, it didn’t take long for Dr. Bohrnsen to realize that Southern California offered a greater opportunity to enjoy sports year around. It was a perfect fit for both his athletic lifestyle and profession. After graduation, he settled in the Thousand Oaks, CA area. Dr. Bohrnsen recently relocated back to the Spokane area after spending the past 5 years in Southern California. He has a history of working with some of the top high schools in Southern California as a Trainer and Team Doctor.

He has been working with the Associated Volleyball Professional Tour (AVP) as a Medical Provider since 2008. Additionally, over the past two and half years he has been a Medical Provider with the National Governing Body of Team USA Beach Volleyball which allows him to travel internationally all over the world. This past year he has completed his Medical Volunteer Rotation at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

He knows that each person is unique and he approaches each patient’s needs from that perspective. Dr. Bohrnsen treats all patients, not just the athletes or weekend warriors. He applies the Sports Medicine realm to everyday people and injuries.

He is certified in Active Release Therapy, Graston Soft-tissue Mobilization, Kinesiology Taping, FMS Testing and Gonstead Extremity Adjusting Techniques. He is currently certified as a Diplomate by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.
